Rachel & Erjon || Huntsville Alabama Wedding

This wedding is the wedding I always use to explain to couples WHY you might want a second shooter. The reason: I took these images while second shooting! I had over 300 USABLE images for their wedding, and I know the lead shooter used a lot of them. The nice thing about a second shooter, is that they have time to just think about getting the details. Also, photographers are human, and the lead shooter may have to switch out a battery, take a bathroom break, or not move their fingers quick enough to capture a small--but significant--moment.

LETS GET TO IT: Rachel's getting ready photos are some of my favorite. Ambrosia Salon in Atlanta is alllll heart eyes. AND she had a catered brunch. LEMME TELL YOU SOMETHING: lobster rolls are good. This was the first time trying them, and OH MAN. I'm hooked. Move me to Maine. (Do that anyways, bc #portlandmaine looks amazeeee.

Sometimes I think: will it be weird that I am capturing someone take a selfie? But, then I always decide NO. Because it is a way to remember how excited everyone was to celebrate with you!!

Erjon's grooms den was GOALS. A wine cellar? How cool is that? I don't even drink wine, but it seriously made for some GQ-esque photos.

^^^^ One of the groomsmen lost their black bowtie. And, I magically had one in my camera bag. It was so fortuitous. Who carries black bow ties around with them??

Her shoes. ^^ like omg. They have her new name on them. I thought was honestly the most precious detail I've ever seen in a wedding.

huntsville wedding photographer first look wedding

FIRST LOOKS>> There are numerous reasons to do a first look. Most wedding photographers will probably try to convince you to do it? Why? Because as a photographer your job is to CAPTURE photos. And we know that the ones you want the most of are of you and your fiance. If you do a first look you are likely to get 40% more photos of you and your significant other. This is why you will hear the battle cry of FIRST LOOK from wedding photographers.

The ceremony between Rachel & Erjon was simple and sweet. I love hearing vows read. It is such a lovely thing for your family & friends to take part in. Every time I hear vows, I sappily think about my own husband and what I vowed to him.

CAKE, One of my favorite things to photograph. I loved the intricate detailing, but how the cake was still timeless and simple. If you look at the photo below you will see that place markers were chopsticks! Rachel & Erjon live in Japan for Erjon's job. They served sushi at their wedding and saw it fit to do table places with chopsticks!!

First dances and toasts always have my heart.

huntsville wedding photographer first dance

This was the first time I had a couple NOT do a sparkler exit. I have to say: as a photographer who has to run between fire every weekend, I was a total fan of bubbles.

Isn't The Estate in Atlanta GORGEOUS?

So now do you see that as a second photographer I was able to make up an ENTIRE wedding album? Think about it when you look to secure your wedding photographer!
