Steely & Paul || Nutwood Plantation Wedding

A few weeks ago, I was able to travel down to Lagrange, Georgia and participate in a Halloween Wedding styled shoot at Nutwood Plantation. I'm going to be honest, I was a little hesitant about a Halloween themed bridal session. Halloween and I don't really vibe, and Lilac & Lemon Photography is--well--all about frills & classic weddings. But, whatever my mind had thought this was going to be, this shoot was the exact opposite, and I ended up LOVING this Halloween themed wedding.

I had so much fun, and honestly it was because Steely & Paul are magic. You can feel the love that they have for each other, and I am so glad it helped me realize THAT is what my wedding photography is about: ITS ABOUT CAPTURING THE LOVE. It's not about my ideal, its about helping you have that memory lifeline. Those wedding photos to look back on, and see WOW. We were young and so in love.

SERIOUSLY. If you are this palpably in love, I want to be at your wedding. I was seriously grinning ear to ear behind my camera, and commenting to my fellow photographers how sweet they were together. Steely was such a gorgeous bride, and can you get over her bridal hair?? Bilgah Moka Salon did such a good job!

I LOVE CAKE. I feel like 45% of the reason I became a wedding photographer was to eat the cake. And this one totally fit the Halloween Wedding Theme bill!

I love the old southern elegance that Nutwood Plantation provided! I have a few portraits of Steely & Paul in front of it, and it feels VERY circa American Gothic! This one below was my favorite one.

Look at that dreamy light, I can't handle the beauty!!! And those florals give me heart eye hang over. (SIDE NOTE: photographing your wedding florals is part of my favorites list.)
